I became a vegetarian when my son was 3 years old. We started out researching the subject strickly for health reasons, but as many have found out…as soon as you go down this path youvery quickly find out all about the ”ethical” side of this subject. So what started out as simple healthly choices in eating really became a lifelong desire to also help the planet. It is a personal choice, and we never inflict our beliefs on anyone. Vegetarians can still eat with everyone else…we just need a few simple modifications.
In the last ten years, vegetarianism has taken off in the mainstream. It used to be that we had search out “health food stores” to get the staples we needed. Not any more! Mainstream grocery stores now carry a large selection of vegetarian and vegan goodies! In fact, many nutritionists now reccommend eating a few ”meat free” meals as part of a healthly lifestyle. Not only are there benefits to your health, but each time you eat “meat free” you also help our planet and the generations to come.
