I knew it was Thanksgiving, but by the time Wednesday arrived…I was actually surprised at how fast the days went by..and now it’s almost December! I had high hopes of several projects but since they were countdown related I’m not sure they will get done this year. After reviewing my list last night I was quite surprised at how much I had wanted to accomplish. As it stands today in my catalog I have two secret santa kits (Food/Gifts Version and Deck the Halls), a countdown numbers kit with candy, and my favorite; an Advent kit/calendar featuring the Jesse Tree Lessons. I may not get my wish list completed this year, but there are quite of few kits to celebrate the season in this way. I hope you have a chance to use one the secret santa kits for a neighbor, co-worker, family member or a stranger. These kits bring out the true meaning of the holiday, warm your heart and soul and provide blessings that will last a lifetime!
I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving feasts with friends and family and enjoy these next few weeks of the year leading up to Christmas!

I love this kit…I love the graphic from Janet Jones with Santa carrying all those packages. Having had this idea for some time now…finally here is the kit.
It’s just a fun little pick me up to give your bff’s this holiday season…or, how about putting a gift card in the purse, make the kit and give it all as a gift. A pretty unique way to give a giftcard present! Here’s the cash, and here’s all the things you need to make an enjoyable shopping day!

I’ve been getting a flu shot for many years now…starting when I worked in the Medical Field. I like to be sure for one that I am not a carrier… so I make my annual trek to the doctor usually with little more than a sore arm at the site for a day or two. Well, not this year! Apparently the flu shot has changed somewhat…more broad based to cover more illnesses. It is also widely encouraged that just about everyone get one now, unless you have a allergy reaction or would otherwise compromise your health. As I stood there to take my shot, my son was with me as I proudly announced it doesn’t hurt and he would need to get his now in a week or two. I about buckled over with pain…yep! The nurse so kindly told me that this years shot is more powerful and does indeed hurt….so what was I saying!!!! Tears came to my eyes…I laughed! Thankfully, it was over in few short seconds…not bad I still said. Well, not bad until the 48 hour mark…when the pain was so intense it ripped up my arm, into my shoulder and into my neck. NOTHING and I mean nothing would help except to lie down completely on heat! I could’nt stand, sit or walk without a ton of pain. This was not boding well for my story …especially since my son was next!
I have no idea what happened…I’m told she could have hit a nerve…yep, that nurse hit a nerve all right…gosh! It’s been a week and half and I am now just able to sit at the computer without too much pain or needing heat to work… Wow, what a week this has been. I clearly was ready to amputate my arm at one point…I kid you not!
So when next years flu shot time comes around…well, …I’ll probably get back in line, with a bag of ice, asprin and sling, but I’ll do my part and not be a carrier of the dreaded flu even if it costs me a week of work and few tears!
Now what are the odds I can get my teen to the doctor this week for HIS!???

Bran
d new today…as soon as I saw Linda Lawrence’s kit …Sugar and Spice… knew what I was making for my cookies this year! LOL This is a great Chistmas cookie packaging kit. Not only can use this can and everything inside, but you can also use the individual pieces to create little cookie gifts for all your friends, teachers, neighbors and co-workers to name a few. And hey, if you have to buy your cookies this year…don’t worry! You can still make them look awesome! :O)
I also reccommed highly Linda’s graphic kit!
This altered can printable kit is sold exclusively at DAISIE Company!

VOTE—VOTE—VOTE—VOTE—VOTE—VOTE—VOTE—VOTE—VOTE!
Have you been involved in this year’s historic election? I must admit, I’ve never felt quite as moved politically as I have this year. Our family is waiting anxiously for the day to come! I’ve always tried to share the elections and the process with my son as he has been growing up. This year how amazed I am to see him in action! Well and the truth be told, he will vote for the first time in a few short years. I actually have really awesome memories of taking him with me to the voting booth…voting is NO stranger to this child!! We have gone from him “wanting” to go for the morning donuts at the polling station, to canvassing with me …attending rallies, wearing his pins on his backback and talking to other students! Woohoo….makes me so very proud! :O)

Election Night Party Add-on
This year though, the entire family is looking forward to election night which has prompted me to make a kit which coordinates with the Patriotic series for an election night party. This kit starts with a special inviation, and continues with a can centerpiece, cup wrappers, candy bar wrappers, napkin ring, popcorn bags ….all the pieces of the patriotic kits work great. All you need to do is pull up the item you want to make and drag and drop some “election” add-on graphics, then print!

This is what our party is starting to look like!
And, of course, don’t forget to snap a photo memory for the quick page in the graphics kit to savor the moment forever! :O)

Yikes, did this year go fast! It’s hard to believe that we are two months away from Christmas already. I noticed some Christmas decorations showing up in my grocery store of all places already!

From The Advent Story...A Perpetual Calendar Kit
For many (myself included) this year could “feel” like it will be difficult. I want to see it rather as a challenge to us all to simplify and bring back more of the true meaning of the Holidays. As I get ready to put new kits in the store, I want to focus on gifts that are from the heart. Gifts we create from our own hands, with little monetary output. Gifts that we will cherish all year through and that bring a smile to our faces every time we pick them up knowing what our recipient put into it.
I’m excited actually…I want to be more creative, and take the commercialism down a notch. I know we all talk about how the holidays are too commercial each year, but how many of us still get swept up in it? Well, I like many others have no choice this year. My husband does not work in a recession proof industry…and we found out early and hard just how difficult it is. Yet, beneath it all, we are somehow happier tightening our purse strings, cutting more coupons and again being more creative in many areas of our family life. So that is theme of my designs this year….and, I’m really looking forward to it!
Here are two Kits you might be interested in that help to bring the true meaning into your life and the lives of others:12 Days Secret Santa and The Advent Story, a Perpetual Calendar ( The Jesse Tree Story)

Some of my customers have noticed that my DAISIE Kits are now appearing in my store at Print Design and are live again at DAISIE. Recently I had an opportunity to negotiate my old kits and am happy to report that I will not only have them at my personal store but I will once again be able to edit and update as necessary the work that I did for over a year a half at DAISIE Company.
The DAISIE Company has undergone a tremendous changes since it’s inception in April of 2006. Along with personal and business issues the site was at it’s point of closing and a clearance sale had begun during the month of September. However, by the end of the month, things changed. Gina announced that DAISIE company would be bought out by her Studio Company and she was going to attempt to make it go one more time.
As many know, I was one of the original designers who opened this company with her …. it is still very close to my heart. I remember like it was yesterday, the day the switch was flipped and our store went live. Many things have happened since that time, at one point I left with a heavy heart. But, DAISIE Company is where I realized a dream…combining my love of crafting with my love of print design and no matter what holds a piece of my heart.
In the future you may seem some of my work there, both with my own art and the art of Gina Jane and perhaps even with some of the other artists. I was a part of the first DAISIE and now I have decided to be a part of the “2nd DAISIE” so to speak…I have been given second and third chances over my lifetime…I believe we must take every opportunity to allow the good in oursevles, others and situations to come forth. It’s not up to us to decide which path each of us should take, it is however, up to us to bring peace, harmony and love into the universe every chance we get. I may not always succeed in my human body….but I will try, and if situations arise where I don’t live up to my own beliefs, I will pick myself up and try again!
